Like a lot of dogs, mine hates fireworks. So rather than drug him this 4th of July, I decided to head out into the sticks. A friend owns 10 acres in Washington, and offered it up as a place to camp. It was remote, wild, and devoid of people. Perfect for escaping fireworks.
The FAA has finally released it's ruling on drone/UAS/multi-rotor (whatever you want to call them) use. The rules on commerical use seem to be more appropriate than they were previously. I've been lucky to watch these guys grow up, and it was awesome that they let me go to their graduation.
On one of my first trips to Oregon, my uncle took us to Honeyman State Park. It is, without a doubt, my favorite place on the Oregon Coast.

I met Kanchan almost three years ago, and this is the first time our schedules have matched up for a shoot. She brought Kate, and we spent a few hours shooting up at Stub Stewart park. The Oregon weather cooperated, (finally,) and I think we got a few good shots.
I got my first .22 rifle when I was 10 or 11, and I've loved target shooting ever since. Last weekend, a couple friends and I ran out to the mountains to sight in a few new rifles.

When I hit the app store to update my iPad today, I noticed an Evernote app update stating that we can now add "a colorful sketch" to our notes.
