Marissa and I have been planning to shoot up at First People’s Buffalo Jump for months now. Winter hours made it difficult earlier in the year, but we finally found an opportunity to run up there last week. It’s an amazing landscape, and Marissa rocked it. The wind was picking up by the time we had walked out on the rocks, but it worked perfectly with the dresses she brought. We’re already planning another shoot.
The challenge with this particular park is that the gates close at 6pm (earlier in the winter months,) and the park itself closes at dark. I need to find out if we can park outside the gates and walk in a little later in the day to get some good golden hour photos. I’d love to shoot the Milky Way from the top of the jump, but I need to see if I can get permission to be there after dark.
