Kayla and Coffee

I never have quite as much time as I’d like when I visit Portland. So instead of big shoots that require driving and setup and all that, we opted for something simple this time. Ava Roasteria has a great location in Progress Ridge next to a large pond. There are outdoor tables on the west side of the building, so it was a perfect place to catch the setting sun. As always, Kayla was awesome, and made my job easy.

When we got to Ava, we noticed the Blue Star Donut shop. Yelp said it closed at 8pm, so we figured we’d run in after shooting for a bit. We failed to consider the possibility that they’d run out of donuts before then.

We were still craving donuts, so we ran down the street to Sesame Donuts.
