I’ve been in Portland now for almost exactly half my life. Long enough to occasionally be able to say, “I remember when…”
When I first moved out here, this sign looked better. My buddy’s girlfriend lived right around the corner from here, so we spent quite a bit of time at Coach’s Bar in this little strip mall, too.
In other news, I picked up a Canon EF-M 11-22mm lens the other day. So far, I like it. The EOS M3 is covered now… 11-22 for wide angle, 22mm prime for wide open regular shooting, and the EF-M adapter and my EF lenses for anything requiring telephoto. I still think it’s the perfect walking-around-camera.
Also, I think I may have found the perfect daily bag (for me.) I need something that can carry the EOS M3 and either an iPad or an 11″ MacBook Air. And I didn’t want it to look like a camera bag. The Think Tank Retrospective 7 does the trick. I’ve been looking at them for a year or so, but always balked at the price. Now I know it’s well worth the price tag.
I’ve been slacking on the blogging. It might be a bit before I have the free time to do any Evernote or Photography tips again. In the meantime, I may post a photo or two here and there. Possibly with a story.
