Columbia River Gorge

I came back to Portland for a two week visit yesterday, (more on the move to Montana later.) Driving through the Columbia River Gorge was eerie. The rain was pouring down, there was a thick layer of smoke, and every now and then I’d catch a glimpse of fire out of the corner of my eye.

Stopping on highway 84 isn’t allowed, so these were quick drive-by photos. With any luck, the rain will help put out the Eagle Creek fire (and other fires burning in the west.)
