Like a lot of dogs, mine hates fireworks. So rather than drug him this 4th of July, I decided to head out into the sticks. A friend owns 10 acres in Washington, and offered it up as a place to camp. It was remote, wild, and devoid of people. Perfect for escaping fireworks.
I love little towns like Goldendale, too. Reminds me of where I grew up in Montana.

On the way back, we stopped at the Stonehenge War Memorial outside of Maryhill, WA. The dog refused to actually enter the structure, so I shot what I could from outside.
