TUESDAY TIPS: Evernote Scannable App

Looking for an even easier way to get paper into Evernote? Check out Scannable (iOS only for now.)

The document camera in Evernote has been awesome for awhile. But it still requires you to open the Evernote app first. To quickly scan a document, business card, or Post-it Note and send it anywhere (including Evernote,) the new Scannable app is definitely worth the download.

Step one: Open the Scannable app.
Step two: Point the camera on your iPhone at a document.
Step three: Wait a second or two while Scannable identifies your document and automatically takes a photo.
Step four: Send the document to Evernote, or email, or iMessage, or…

As an added bonus, if you have a ScanSnap Evernote edition, you (or anyone else in your office) can use the Scannable app to access it.

More detailed information is on the Evernote site and blog, but it really is that simple. It’s currently available for iPhone and iPad only.
