Like I said in the last post, I like to use Evernote to draft my blog posts. This works great on the laptop, but what about when my phone is all I have?
I was just simplifying posts by keeping them to text with one image, or drafting the text on my phone, then waiting till I got back to the laptop to collect supporting images. That works, but I’d rather add the images when I write the posts. Of course, I can download each image, then add them to the Evernote note, but it was time-consuming and inefficient. There had to be a better way.
Then Everclip won gold in the Evernote DevCup. And I decided to try it out.
It’s simple, but highly effective. Fire up the app, then go about researching your post. When you highlight text, or an image and hit “Copy”, EverClip grabs the content and adds it to a list of content. When you’re finished clipping content, simply combine all the clippings into one note and send it to Evernote. You can even add your own text if you’d like.
When you get back to your computer, your text and images are waiting for you in one note, ready to be posted to WordPress (or whichever blogging service you use.)
FYI, this post was drafted in EverClip. Basically, anything you can “Copy” in iOS can be added to EverClip.
